In the artificial world we live in, with solutions full of chemicals and drugs, the search for holistic healing has never been more relevant. Ayurveda offers numerous healing therapies, and one that is unique and extremely effective is Marma Therapy — a valuable skill for marma therapists, massage therapists, yoga students, holistic healers, Ayurveda enthusiasts, or anyone interested in a healthy, natural lifestyle.
Internationally certified courseRegistered with Yoga Alliance USA & IPHM UK
Marma Therapy is a therapeutic practice based on the 107 marma points, known as marmani, in our body. These are the body's main energy points — generally understood as the main intersections of the 72,000 nadis that carry prana (life energy). Marma points and their relationship to the nadis can vary between Ayurvedic texts and traditions.
Marma Therapy has its roots deep in the ancient Vedas, where it is described as a powerful means to heal and balance the body's energies. By stimulating these points with pressure and correct massage, it releases tension and energy blockages and enhances the free flow of prana — leaving a person more energetic and healthy.
In short: Arogya Yoga School's Marma Therapy course in Rishikesh is a 7-day residential course on the 107 marma points of Ayurveda — their science, classification and uses, prana flow, stimulation and pressure techniques, and Marma pranayama — with one-on-one practice. It is internationally certified (Yoga Alliance USA, IPHM UK). The fee is $430 USD in a 2-sharing room or $500 USD in a private room. The next batch runs 02 Nov – 08 Nov 2026.
Marma therapy works on an emotional, physical, mental and spiritual level, promoting overall wellbeing.
The practice regulates the flow of energy through the body, relieves pain, improves blood circulation, reduces stress and anxiety, enhances mood and releases trauma by removing blockages — fostering a deeper connection between mind and body by acting directly on the body's energy system.
