Alignment & technique
Enhance your yoga practice by emphasising proper alignment and technique in your poses.
A Yoga Alliance certified 200 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh with a Yin Yoga focus — long-held postures, functional anatomy, fascia and meridians, mindfulness and meditation, and the skills to teach with confidence.
Arogya Yoga School offers a Yoga Alliance certified 200 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh with a Yin Yoga focus. Yin Yoga is a style that involves holding postures for longer than other styles, and this slow-paced practice integrates principles from traditional Chinese medicine. Beginners may hold an asana for 45 seconds to 2 minutes; more experienced practitioners hold for 5 minutes or longer. Yang Hatha yoga, by contrast, uses posture sequences to stimulate the subtle energy channels known as nadis.

By the riverIn short: Arogya Yoga School's 200 Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training is a Yoga Alliance certified 200 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India — a 24-day residential course. You learn Yin Yoga philosophy, functional anatomy, traditional Yin and Hatha postures, alignment, props and modifications, pranayama, meditation, sequencing and teaching methodology. Have you ever wanted to move your body and stretch without getting tired? Yin Yoga is exactly that — a way to meet your movement goals in a relaxed manner.
You stretch deeply by applying gentle pressure on connective tissues, which promotes flexibility and improves circulation. Holding poses for longer helps body and mind relax and let go of tension, and when practised with full awareness this slow practice becomes profoundly meditative — supporting joint mobility, mental clarity and emotional balance. If you don't like heavy workouts, Yin Yoga helps you connect with your body and adds mindful movement to your life.
Come into the pose to an appropriate level of sensation — never pain.
Settle the body, breath and mind and observe with awareness.
Stay for an appropriate time, then rest in rebound.
Sequence, cue and adapt Yin classes for every body.
A 200-Hour Yoga TTC is designed to build a strong foundation in yoga philosophy, asana practice, teaching methodology, anatomy, pranayama, meditation and ethical principles.

The philosophy of Yin Yoga is based on stillness, surrender, mindfulness, patience and awareness. It encourages practitioners to move away from constant physical effort and to observe the body, breath, sensations and mind with more awareness.
Yin Yoga is not about pushing into the deepest pose. For every pose you learn its purpose, target area, functional anatomy, variations, props, contraindications, modifications, rebound, holding time and verbal cueing.

Meditation brings clarity to the mind, calms the emotions and relaxes the body — the natural partner of long-held Yin postures.
