Our mission

Yoga that creates a positive movement in humanity

Our mission is to teach the ancient art and science called “Yoga” in a way that empowers our students to create a positive movement in the evolution of humanity. To do so, we have an experienced team of English-speaking yoga teachers, and the director of the school is a 500 hour E-RYT.

In the Vedic literature, Rishikesh is described as Tapobhoomi — the Land of Meditation: an escape from worldly chaos and an experience of clarity. We weave the teachings of the Vedas and Upanishads together with the Yoga Sutras, opening perspectives your mind has never visited before.

Inspired by the unshakeable Himalayas and the unstoppable vigour of the Ganga, Arogya is a humble home of yoga, where discipline and steadfastness are honed with culture and tradition — the fitting place to begin a journey into the trinity of Mind, Body and Soul.

The meaning of our name

Arogya (Ah-ro-GYA) — complete health of mind and body

Arogya is a Sanskrit word meaning a healthy life without disease. Our school was founded with a strong conviction to share the traditional experience of yoga and to lead students along the path of holistic, healthy living.

We live in a technological era where everything seems automatic except our happiness. Through yoga, we gain the tools to explore our full potential and experience bliss — and because Arogya values lifelong learning, our students leave equipped to keep learning for the rest of their lives.
